I drove my Jimny out of the showroom late in 2008 and haven't looked back.

Since then I have put 105,000 on the clock, added some modifications and taken it on many camping / fishing trips. I use my Zook as a daily driver plus a toy for the weekends. Currently my zook has, 2" EFS lift kit, 215/75R15 BFGoodrich AT Tyres, ARB Bullbar + 9500LB winch, roof basket, side awning, rod tube and a Snorkel.

I now use my zook to tow a 4.15m Savage Bay cruiser and have done trips nearly 200km away. Climbing hills at time can be slower than normal but selecting the correct gear I usually manage 80-100km/h.

Im from Durbs haha living in Australia for the last 6 years now! We have a 2013 Jimny it can tow up to 350 kilos (unbraked) and up to 1300 kilos (braked) So your mate will need a trailer with brakes with that weight. But hey its Durban and its only a few k's away so you could get away with it. Just drive slow lol

Hey Mate! Greetings from Durban SouthAfrica. What a great Zook, nicely kitted.
I have a buddy with a 14 foot Acecraft and he launches off Pennington beach which is 2.5 km from his house. Would the Jimny be alright for this? The boat is about 800 kg.
